St Peters Basilica New Art

This painting was inspired by a peice in the Tate Gallery called The New Art, where young people were paid to run through the gallery at intervals. As usual, I copy this concept then I take it too far! My runners are the Little Nippers from Australia, doing a marathon through a religous institution.

Workers in the Tunnel

My husband was an industrial photographer, and recording the building of the railways and roads under Sydney was a regular commission. After he suffered a stroke, I assisted him in this work. I then fell in love with the visual excitement of the work environment, especially in the confined areas in the tunnels. I have my father appear from time to time. he is in this picture, looking at me. (I lost him and Mum in 2008. Hardly a day goes by when I don't think of them.)

The Poker Game

A trip to China was a rich source of imagery for paintings when I returned. We visited a small village that had kept its traditional ways. And we took many photographs.
